"I think it’s great for two people to be together. That is a good number. I think, that to keep it alive though, you can’t spend every day together. It wears out the magic, Love means nothing to me if it’s not fortified with fierce, painful longing, brief explosive instances of furious passion and intimacy and then a sad parting for a time. In that way, you can give your life to it and still have a life of your own. I think some couples spend too much time together. They flatten out the potential for experience by constant closeness. Passion builds over time like steam. Let it rage until it’s exhausted and then leave it alone to let it build up again. Why can’t love be insane and distorted? How can it be vital if it has the same threshold as normal day-to-day experience? Why can’t you write burning letters and let your nocturnal self smolder with desire for one who is not there? Why not let the days before you see her be excruciating and ferment in your mind so on the day you go to the airport to pick her up, you’re nearly sick with anticipation? And then when desire shows the first sign of contentment, throw it back it its cage and let it slowly build itself back into a state of starved fury. Then when you are together, it all matters. So that when you look into her eyes, you lose your balance, so that when she touches you, it feels like you have never been touched before. When she says your name, you think it was she who named you. When she has gone, you bury your face in the pillow to smell her hair and you lie awake at night remembering your face in her neck, her breathing and the amazing smell of her skin. Your eyes go wet because you want her so bad and miss her so much. Now that is worth the miles and the time. That matches the inferno of life. Otherwise you poison each other with your presence day after day as you drag each other through the inevitable mundane aspects of your lives. That is the slow death that I see slapped on faces everywhere I go. It’s part of the world’s sadness that’s more empty than cold, poorly lit rooms in cities of the American night."

I want to be remembered as the girl who always smiles even when her heart is broken, and the one that could always brighten up your day even if she couldn’t brighten her own.

    fuckyeahtoronto:

from CTV:Toronto Mayor Rob Ford spent Wednesday evening riding across the city’s subway system after losing a council vote on the city’s transit future that he described as “irrelevant.”
Ford and at least one member of his communication staff spent the evening speaking to residents as they rode the subway and Scarborough rapid transit until about 1 a.m. on Thursday.
Toronto city council voted voted 25-18 in favour of a light rail transit plan Wednesday evening, rejecting Ford’s plan to focus on moving more transit underground.
In a Facebook post following the vote, Ford say he was elected to bring subways to Toronto and would continue to push for Eglinton Avenue’s light rail transit line to be buried underground.
“The residents of Scarborough, Toronto’s fastest growing region, deserve underground rapid transit - and I promised to deliver it to them. Today’s vote does not change my promise,” Ford wrote.
Toronto council supported the plan proposed by TTC chair Karen Stintz after more than 10 hours of heated debate. At stake is some $8 billion in money allocated by the province.
Stintz’ proposal falls in line with Transit City – a strategy that was approved by the city and Metrolinx, the province’s transit agency, in 2009 but shunned by Ford when he was elected mayor in 2010.
“I think it was a good day for council and I think what we agreed on is really a common sense compromise that helps make sure we build rapid transit to the most number of people in the city of Toronto,” Stintz said Wednesday.
The new council-approved plan will see light rail lines constructed along Finch Avenue and Eglinton Avenue, with a section running underground between Back Creek Drive and Laird Drive.

In 2011 Arrested Development was renewed for a 4th season, scheduled to air in early 2013. Sadly, Justin Grant Wade, who played the beloved character Steve Holt, was not asked to return to the show. Please help us bring back Steve Holt.

Head over to the TWITTER and BUY sections to learn how you can help.

I personally would love to see Steve Holt in the new series/movie. Let’s do our best to bring him back. STEVE HOLT!
